Romans 8:28

Romans 8:28 says: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
I have probably read this verse well over 100 times in my 13 years of walking with God. And I have to some degree seen it demonstrated in my life. Its definitely on my "favorite verses" list. But lastnight, it came alive to me in way that was totally unexpected and delightful.
I have been going through a healing process for about the last 9 months. Healing from losing my parents 4 or so years ago and from the backsliding I recently came out of. I wasn't even aware the affect all of this was still having on me. Until one of my dearest friends brought this verse to me. I was relating to my friend the struggle I have been having with how my husband and I started our relationship. Part of me was still ashamed about this. I couldn't understand how God could be blessing us so much when we started out the way we did.
When he(my friend) read this verse to me he said, "This verse is your life". And then God really showed me my life is this verse! How God has taken this thing we made a big mess of and turned it into something glorious! In these moments I was TRULY HEALED!! It was like God just reached down to me and took this burden of pain off me and said, "You are healed." It was a release for me like I haven't known in a very long time. Glory Be To God.
It doesn't matter how you start something as much as it matters how you continue it. God has made it right. He has turned into something for HIS GLORY. He expects you to be a good steward of this thing, whatever it may be, that He has entrusted you with. For all things belong to Him and were created by Him. Thank You, Lord for this wonderful revelation!!
